What are macros? Why should I set them up in the app?

Macros are the fat, protein, and carbohydrates that make up the energy value in foods. You can find macros on nutrition labels and recipe cards.

Counting macros can help you maximize your success and the benefits of a low carb diet. However, ideal macros differ for everyone and depend on a variety of individual health factors.

Setting up macros in the My Macros section allows your meal plan to automatically calculate your plan’s impact on your daily macros. You can see at a glance whether a day’s meals will exceed your ideal intake of protein, fat, or carbs, so you can make adjustments to recipes as needed.
